Thamel is a maze. We like it that way.
THAMEL & CO. started as a TikTok shop run out of a Thamel back room: a screen-printer, a sewing machine and a lot of late nights. Every piece is named after a lane or a market within walking distance of that room.
- Asan Tole
- Six roads meet at a market that has traded since before Kathmandu had a king. Our zip hoodie is named for the crush at its centre.
- Jhochhen, or Freak Street
- The end of the overland trail in the seventies. Cheap rooms, cheaper chiya, and the relaxed cut of the Freak Street Tee.
- Indra Chowk
- Cloth stalls stacked to the eaves. The woven label on our pocket tee borrows their colours.
- Garden of Dreams
- A walled garden a few minutes from the Thamel noise, and the quietest cap we make.
